STAGE 1 -CORE CARE-4-KIDS PROGRAM:
“CORE” activities planned for you are listed below. You are expected to be ready to roll up your sleeves & be a full mission servant & partner in the following caring activities:
STAGE 2-ACTIVITIES PLANNED:
.Befriend, care for and take care of children from the areas
devastated by poverty & natural disaster.
.Minister to street kids living on the streets, in slums and in ghettos.
.Teach children at Sunday schools, and help them with home works.
.Assist teachers in classrooms at primary & high schools in poor areas.
.Help stage short dramas and entertainment activities to cheer up the children
who are still traumatized by the devastation & poverty they experience.
.Be part of a cooking and feeding program benefiting young children.
.Help out at construction sites where homes are being built for poor
children and their families.
.Be part of a concert team putting together a memorable musical
declarations/performances to bless the community, parents & poor/sick
children.
.Assist in creating nice landscaping gardens and play areas for children in deprived areas.
.Be involved with distributing gift packs to children at their homes.
.Help to plan surprise birthday parties for poor & sick children.
.Visit sick children in the hospitals or at homes in the deprived areas.
.Help out at children's ward of local clinics and hospitals to brighten their day.
.Spend a day with a disabled child or house bound sick child, showing them you care.
.Pray with/for traumatized kids and their families in crisis.
.Travel to rural poorer districts of Mississippi/Louisiana and offer support to kids
who have been badly affected and are living in rough/crammed
conditions.
.Be part of a health care service team and distribute sanitary packs in the
slums and in poor local communities in Mississippi/New Orleans.
.Deliver pre-packed gift boxes to children and their families.
.Visit children in the ghetto and slum areas to befriend & support them.
.Spend a night/weekend with a child and his/her family to experience how they
live.
.Work as part of a kitchen team, cooking for and feeding many children
in a loving and caring way.
.Organize surprise birthday parties for children living in run down
communities.
.Be part of a concert team putting together a memorable musical
declaration/performance to bless the community, parents &
children living in poverty.
.Help distribute surprise gift packs to the children & their families at their homes.
.Pray with/for traumatized children and their families.
.Travel to poorer, disadvantaged communities in Mississippi/New Orleans to offer
support to kids who have been badly affected by poverty and/or are living in
rough/crammed or disheveled homes.
.Assist children and their families in refurbishing/painting of their
homes if required.
.Assist in landscaping gardens and repairing damaged or vandalized children play areas.
.Spend a night/weekend with a child and her family to experience how they
live and bond with them.
.Attend local church worship with the child/children and their families.
Though the list is long and you will have the opportunity to take part in many areas of children ministry, there is no guarantee of which area you will be assigned to until you arrive, and you may not be able or be expected to complete them all, but we will go as many miles with you as you are able to go.

Mississippi has the highest poverty rate in the country, and communities along the Mississippi River have the highest poverty rates in the state.
With a poverty rate of 19.3%, Mississippi has the highest poverty rate in the United States, just ahead of Louisiana.
Louisiana has the second-worst poverty rate in the United States. With a poverty rate as high as 19.2% of its population, it is second only to Mississippi.
Teach-Ability:
One of the most important requirements for acceptance is that each applicant has a teachable spirit, humble heart & a willingness to serve. Applicants do not need to be perfect, just willing to learn & serve.
