Do I need a passport to visit these countries?
Yes, you ,most definitely do! Your valid passport is the most valuable document for your trip to all our destinations!
You will need your passport for going through customs. Losing a passport will require several days of waiting in lines at governmental offices and will compromise your trip severely! A wise practice is to photocopy the important pages of your passport and keep them in a safe place separate from your passport. Keep your passport with you at all times. Your airline tickets are also very important. Keep up with these documents and be prepared to show them at any time.
How shall I dress for my internship/retreat?
As for Israel Holy sites dictate that shorts are inappropriate while visiting these areas. Slacks for men and women are fine, although some women may find comfortable dresses or jumpers to be quite comfortable. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, and you may find sunglasses to be helpful in the bright sunshine. Similar dressing including wearing shorts apply to most destinations.
What kind of luggage shall I pack?
We suggest that you pack light, travel light. One suitcase and one carry-on baggage per person are advisable, and will be sufficient! Taking less makes the whole tour more enjoyable for everyone. Remember that most airport security in the world today are rigorous. So pay close attention to the rules of flying when it comes to what you pack. You may want to leave extra room in your luggage to bring purchases back home with you. Mailing things back is costly.
What kind of electricity runs?
In most countries laptops, digital Camera, shavers, hair dryers, and other appliances that are purchased in America are 120 volts at 60 cycles per second. Main power is 240 volts at 50 cycles. Most European appliances will have no problem being used in India or Africa as most locations have converters in the rooms; batteries are widely available also.
Do I need Travel Insurance?
We strongly advise that you should have a travel insurance policy in place for the tour. We have included insurance in all our packages but you may obtain additional insurance if you wish.
Can I spend pound sterling, dollars or Euros in Israel?
Most places accept American dollars and Euros, although some merchants reserve a right to charge you extra to do so. All major credit cards are welcome almost everywhere, but street vendors will likely require cash and most will take American. Follow local rules and convert your currency at official locations such as banks, etc.
How can I secure my Valuables?
Most of our accommodations have a safe in the room that is large enough for cameras, passports, and other small items. But this is NOT a guarantee!! You can leave items on the tour bus while touring the sites as the bus driver stays with the bus or makes certain it is locked. If you are unsure, ask.! You are TOTALLY responsible for all your own property!

While you are with us we will ask that you document certain aspects of your journey in a small journal. You may wish to continue this process throughout the coarse of your stay.
