Fundraising Tips For Your Mission Internships:

A fantastic way to raise sufficient money for your internship trip is to fundraise. That will help reduce your own travel expenses, while helping out with some of your volunteer project area monetarily. There usually many local businesses, churches, associations and private organizations who are more than willing to donate money for a good cause that has the potential of transforming lives. Start making a list now!

Many people who have experienced our internships have successfully fundraised for their chosen program. It may seem a tough task at first, but you definitely will be surprised at how easy it is to can obtain funding support from different sources. You can start by writing letters, sending emails and faxes asking for support. Then consider organizing unique community events such as musical concerts, game shows, car wash, talent shows and all such ideas. Garage sales have been known to bring in surprising amounts. Tell people what it is for.

Waste no time and be bold by contacting small businesses, church business members, Extended family, parents, relatives as well as international organizations, because these people are happy to help people if asked nicely.

Tell them how unique this internship is. Share with them the compassionate, unique and life altering things you are going to experience with us. Let them know this is not just a holiday, it is a life transforming experience designed to impact your life, faith and walk with God. That will catch their attention!

HERE ARE SOME USEFUL TIPS:
1. Start with mom and dads followed by your immediate family members.
because these people will be the first to help you achieve your goal.
2. Next, you want to approach your pastor and church elders.
3. Contact neighbours and people within your immediate home area.
4. Contact people and organizations that you know and trust as well as local businesses In the area where you live.
5. Get your own circle of friends to help you by putting up events and suggest ideas to Help you fundraise. Their moms and dads can/may also help you out. Try anyhow! 6. Share your visions with people that are even outside your comfort zone.
7. Write yourself a fundraising plan and work through it methodically but be realistic.
8. All your outgoing letters should be short, precise and explanatory as to how funds will be used and the expected outcome from undertaking your chosen internship.
9. Students can use departmental internships allocations if your school/college has one, especially those who are in nursing, medical and dental professions as well as students in film and media careers.

Students may also talk their fraternity or sorority members to help them stage events to raise money. Contact your university to find out more about what options, grants, busary or funds you may be eligible for.
10. Never stop thinking of ideas and try not to waste money whilst trying to raise money!
