Direct Health care Experience Planned:
The planned “DIRECT” medical exposure planned for you includes:
.Serving as a vital part of a mobile medical unit going to villages & rural areas.
.Helping to provide health care services in the slums and in poor local communities.
.Offering health care support at local leper colony projects.
.Biking for miles to villages to visit and see sick patient living in huts & mud houses
.Being a part of a busy outpatient unit at the most under-staffed & under-resourced hospitals.
.Offering support at designated local hospitals and clinics.
.Be a part of a child vaccination drive in local villages.
.Providing support in Pediatrics, Ob-gyn and surgical units as assigned.
.Function as an active team member of a “street” medical service unit seeking out street children, destitute people and offering them free medical services.
.Help out in the medical wards of local prisons.
.Assist at eye clinics and similar para-medical service units situated in the heart of the poorest communities and in the ghettos.
You will never get a chance to practice “Samaritan Medicine" of this type anywhere else. We will ensure that your compassion factor reaches its highest level during this internship.

PLUS other Experiences planned for you:
We plan to also give you real exposure to ministry outreach and servant-hood. You get to do the things you only hear about in Church or read about in the scriptures. It will redefine your bedside manners as a medical servant.
You will be expected to:
. Minister to prostitutes & those who are destitute.
. Feed the homeless.
. Care for orphan.
. Visit prisoners.
. Cook for widows
. Witness healings, see lives changed and see the ministry.
. Worship with the local Christians.
. Lead Worship at a local church/play in the church band.
. Sing in a choir or be a part of an open air revival team.
. Dress & live like an Indian for 3 days. [Can you do it?]
. Shop in the local market, haggle with sellers and make a deal.
. Bring an Indian to the Lord or several.
. Help the sick in hospitals/clinics.
. Minister to orphaned children and show them true love.
. Help at mission construction sites.
. Minister to lepers [not just visiting]
. Preach the Gospel to the unsaved.
. Rescue, talk to, minister to and befriend street kids.
. Minister to women in the red light district.
. Assist broken women of all types.
. Sleep in the house of local persons of another culture,
. clean, bathe & dress babies.
. Sing, worship & help in village churches.
. Read and tell bedtime stories to children in India.
. Assist local pastors in villages/town
. Experience working with a mobile medical unit in rural area.
. Wash clothes for the poor local people with your bare hands.
. Help in open earth kitchen to cook for a whole community as part of a group.
. Teach, Preach, bring comfort to the sick.
. Lay hands on and over the sick.
. Bless, talk to & sit with beggars offering them hospitality and friendship
. Pray over poor neighborhoods and cities for change to occur.
. Cry for, be with and visit the dying
. Bless the broken, touch souls with the love of Christ.
. Experience the sight, smell, sound and feel the vibes of the REAL India!

Though the list is long and you will have the opportunity to take part in many areas, there is no guarantee of which area you will be assigned to until you arrive, and you may not be able to or be expected to complete them all but we would go as many miles with you as you are willing. Duration

One of the most important requirements for acceptance is that each applicant has a teachable spirit, humble heart & a willingness to serve. Applicants do not need to be perfect, just willing to learn
